Electrical Inspection Condition Report (EICR)
Since 1 June 2020 all residential rented properties must now have an EICR carried out by a regulated electrician at an interval of at least every 5 years. A landlord must now provide tenants with a copy of the electrical certificate and must provide one for their local authority if requested. This comprehensive electrical safety test outlines any defects that may prove to be a safety hazard on the electrical wiring in a property.
Fixed installation tests are necessary because all electrical installations can sustain damage over time due to factors such as wear and tear, corrosion, or excessive electrical loading.
Electricians employed by Switch Electrical hold the relevant British Standards BS7671 18th Edition qualification and is qualified to carry out electrical inspections, landlord safety certificates and portable appliance testing (PAT). We are also approved by NAPIT to operate in the Private Rented Sector (England).
EICR Certificate
The EICR Certificate covers any part of the electrical system that’s served from wiring connected to the electric meter. One of our fully qualified electricians will test every aspect of your electrical system and make recommendations on anything unsatisfactory.
We will thoroughly test
